Summer Socials At Oakridge Centre

3-DAY SUMMER SOCIAL July 18 – 20

Nothing says summer like outdoor live music and food truck eats! Oakridge Centre hosted a three-day Summer Social for the merchants, general public, and surrounding community. Daily food trucks from Japadog to Cannoli King to Mr. Arancino were lined up and live entertainment ignited the atmosphere in our Canada Line Courtyard.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL Thursday, July 18

Oakridge Merchants were invited to a catered lunch barbeque from Cocktails & Canapes. Over 600 guests dined on delicious beef burgers and tasty blackened salmon sandwiches, with plenty of sides to choose from including smoked mac and cheese!  A Hagen Daas ice cream bar added a sweet treat to their day. The photo booth was a big hit with many of the employees choosing fun props to include in their picture.

FAMILY SOCIAL Friday, July 19

PAW Patrol Chase made a special appearance at Oakridge Centre on Friday, July 19. He entertained four sold-out live photo-ops. Over 250 families enjoyed the day as their star struck toddlers got to meet their hero. Wristbands were sold for $2 each, raising over $500 for the BCSPCA.

STRAWBERRY SOCIAL Saturday, July 20

The community surrounding Oakridge Centre (impacted by Redevelopment) were invited and came to our Strawberry Social. Guests enjoyed Starbucks coffee and a fresh slice of Strawberry Shortcake. Families were treated to face painting, balloon creations and a luxury Candy buffet from Sugarfina.  Anyone bringing the actual invitation to the event also took home a fresh pint of organic strawberries.  We received a 14% return on invitations sent.
