New BUZZ at Woodgrove

Woodgrove Centre is doing its part to improve conditions and the environment for honeybees to flourish and pollinate in their neighbourhood.  They partnered with Fredrich’s Honey to create a home for honeybees on the shopping centre’s roof. The honeybee population has been declining in recent years due to many reasons, the use of pesticides, herbicides, disease, parasites and change of land use to name a few.  Honeybees can travel up to 3 kms and thrive on sunshine, flowers and water.  Woodgrove’s landscaper will be introducing plants and vegetation to ensure the honeybees prosper in their new habitat.

Woodgrove’s Pet Comfort Area

Woodgrove’s NEW Pet Comfort Area is now open for their guests travelling through with their furry fido friends. Located at the intersection of Beagle Blvd & Labrador Ln. (aka the pathway & grassy area across from their bus loop), visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the paths surrounding the area or relax on the park bench while fido sips from the water guzzler. Additional doggie waste stations have also been installed along the walking trails surrounding the property.
