Brentwood Town Centre hosted its community for Afternoon Tea in celebration of Mother’s Day. Amidst the Brentwood Tea Garden, guests were treated to complimentary DavidsTEA and Thierry macarons as they enjoyed the musical stylings of harpist Janelle Nadeau. The moment was captured with a beautiful black and white styled portrait, care of SIGNATUREBOOTHS, with donation proceeds benefitting the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
For Father’s Day, the centre wanted to help raise awareness and support advances in cancer research and care. Donations will be accepted to benefit BC Cancer Foundation, with proceeds going towards prostate cancer research. For every dollar donated, Brentwood matched the contribution and any guest who made a donation was also entered to win a prize from an assortment of Father’s Day gifts.
Next up, Brentwood will be partnering with HUB Cycling. HUB Cycling is a charitable non-profit organization, established in 1998 (originally named the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition) to improve cycling conditions in Metro Vancouver. Once again Brentwood is a sponsor for the annual Bike to Shop Days event. Brentwood will be sponsoring a celebration station on Saturday, June 23 from 3-5 p.m. where HUB volunteers along with the centre’s Guest Services team will be outside welcoming guests and offering tips on how to make shopping more convenient while riding a bike. The third annual event is designed to encourage and educate people on how to shop at their favourite places while riding their bikes.
